Privacy Policy
Permissions Disclosure

In accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act of 2023 and other pertinent legislation, we at Creditjet are committed to transparency and safeguarding your privacy. To assess your eligibility and ensure a smooth loan acceptance process, we require specific permissions to access specific data from your device. Every piece of information we gather is securely stored, moved, and used only to provide our services. Your information won't be shared with third parties without your explicit consent.

SMS Permissions

We require access to your SMS messages in order to more precisely assess your loan eligibility. This enables us to examine all of your SMS records, not just financial SMS information such sender names, transaction descriptions, and amounts, in order to determine your creditworthiness. However, we will only offer financial SMS data once it has been filtered by a system; no other data will be sent or processed. By analyzing this data, we can improve your chances of obtaining loans and expedite loan approvals.

How We Can Access and Use Your SMS Data:

1. Initial Access: After you authorize SMS access and confirm this permissions page, our application will first look over your SMS data. However, no data will be shared at this time. At this point, only a basic credit check is being conducted.

2. Ongoing Access: Every time you click the "Apply" button to request pre-approval, the app will gather a few thousand messages' worth of recent SMS data, up to several months' worth. Communications pertaining to financial activities will be its main focus.

3. Selective Upload: Only SMS messages with finance-related terms will be sent in for examination. Messages that have already been posted will not be submitted again in order to avoid duplication.

4. Local Storage: If you do not click the "Apply" button, your SMS data will remain on your device rather than being transferred to our servers.

Our servers store all SMS data, and industry-standard encryption ensures secure transmission. We value your privacy above all else, and we will never share your SMS information with any parties without your consent.

Notifications

You may receive push notifications for important account changes, payment reminders, and special offers. You can choose to ignore these alerts without affecting how your app functions.

Emergency Contact Information

To avoid fraud and verify identification, we require access to two emergency contacts. You can manually insert these individuals or select them from your address book. We will only have access to the contacts you specify; we won't collect any more information from your address book without your permission. This data is securely transmitted over HTTPS and stored on our servers.

Specifications of the Device

We collect device information each time you click to apply on the homepage in order to verify your identity and prevent fraud. This includes the model name, specs, and unique identifiers such as OS version, version, code, brand, model number, IMEI, serial number, isDevelopMMode, screen width, default language, age, time zone, other device environment parameters, display and brightness settings, CPU and performance details, and more. Although we only use this information for financial apps, we also get information about the apps that are installed on your smartphone. The app name, version number, installation date, last update date, and if the app is a pre-installed system app are among the details we collect. By using this information to recognize and assess potential risks, we can stop fraudulent software and safeguard the financial stability of our accounts. Importantly, if you don't click to apply on the homepage, no information will be transmitted or processed. We also don't use data from apps that don't fit into a certain financial category. All collected data is securely stored on our systems and shielded from unauthorized access.

Network Information

1. ADID/GAID: We collect your Google Advertising ID (GAID) to analyze ad data and improve your advertising experience.

2. ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: We gather data about your Wi-Fi network in order to assess risk and spot potential anomalies.

3. ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: We collect your network data, including IP address, connection status, and network type, to assess risk and avoid data loss during network disruptions.

4. Other information: simCountryIso, simOperator, networkType, macAddress, and so on.

List of Applications

Permission Usage Goal: We use your mobile application list to analyze your operating environment in order to protect you against fraud and hidden virus software. Illegal software can steal your money through a viral infection. We must ascertain and evaluate your level of risk in order to process loans and help stop fraud.

The Use of Data:

We will collect the installation package's version number, app name, installation time, last update time, and package name in order to prevent unauthorized access to your personal information, specifically to prevent fraud, protect account security, and verify that you are a legitimate human user.

How Data Security Is Assured:

The collected data will be fully encrypted and securely uploaded via an HTTPS server. No other parties will receive your information without your permission.

Location

1. Permission Usage Goal: We need access to users' approximate location data in order to safeguard user accounts and our platform. Knowing a user's approximate location allows us to identify and prevent potential offshore money laundering, unlawful access, and other violations. This permission enables us to protect our users' privacy by prohibiting us from acquiring or keeping their precise location data while protecting our services.

2. The Use of Data: When a user attempts to log in or use the service from a location different than their usual area of activity, the app can use approximate location data to identify and report unusual activity. By blocking unwanted offshore access, this helps protect user accounts from fraud and hackers.

3. How to Ensure Data Security: We promise that your SMS messages will be encrypted and transmitted via HTTPS. No other parties will receive your information without your permission.

The camera

To ensure that our service procedure is completed without a hitch, we need access to the camera on your device. With your consent, you can complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification process by taking images of your face and identification documents, which you can then upload directly to our website. We guarantee that we won't view or save any more images or videos on your device. It's crucial to remember that we can't take or update images without your consent.

Data Storage and Security

All collected data is securely transferred to our servers using cutting-edge encryption and security protocols. No third party will have access to your data unless you specifically consent. If you decide not to apply, however, none of the data will be posted.

Your name, phone number, device model, and operating system are among the personal information we collect. We also gather address data, SMS, and device activity records. To enhance our credit assessment, we may incorporate data from credit bureaus and financial organizations. By using our services, you consent to the collection, processing, and secure storage of this data.
